Xserve

The Xserve was Apple's rack unit line of servers, introduced in 2002. These rackable computers have processors ranging from PowerPC G4 & G5 to Intel quad-core. The Xserve Cluster Node was especially designed for high performance computing using clustering. Official Apple Xserve Page

Identify by Serial Number

Find Serial Number
  1. At the top-left of your screen, click the Apple logo and then click About This Mac.
  2. Click on the version number twice to display your serial number.
  3. If your Mac is not on, the serial number can usually be found on the bottom, on the back, or in the battery compartment.
  4. Enter your serial number in the box below and click 'Go'




Identify by Year, Model Number, or EMC Number

  1. At the top-left of your screen, click the Apple logo and then click About This Mac.
  2. Click on the More Info button to display more information about your Mac.
  3. Find your Mac in the list based on the Year, Model Number, and/or EMC Number.
  4. Click on the model name that corresponds to your Mac.
